Peter pan collar pattern hack!

I have been looking forward to the big Halloween party. unfortunately COVID-19 has stopped the party…  but it cut not stop me in making myself a Halloween collar. thankfully I already have the perfect pattern for the task: The Peter pan collar

Transform shape and look

I love how the Peter pan collar allows you to spice up your wardrobe. It is straightforward to transform the shape and look of the collar.

How to hack the Peter pan collar

This little hack is pretty straightforward. All you need is a standard ruler and a curved ruler. If you do not have a curved ruler, you can draw the lines by hand.

For this pattern hack, I have used a size S of the Peter pan collar

Start by drawing a straight line from the front of the neck hole and down. If you want to fit the collar to the Halloween print, I suggest you draw the line 14 cm for a size S, 14,5 for size M and 15 cm for size L.

Now for the new outer line. Start at the bottom of the middle front line you already have drawn. Your new outer line has to have slightly curved and end your line at the most curved point on the collar.

Now this small Halloween patterns hack is finished. If you want to ad the Halloween print, you need a few extra tools such as:

  • A inject printer
  • Transfer Paper – you can buy the paper here ( Affiliate link)
  • The free Halloween print PDF

You will find a DIY on how to transfer the print on to your fabric here

If you already have the pattern, you can quickly adapt it and get the Halloween collar from this design or other collar patterns. Let me know if you have any questions about the Peter pan hack. Happy pattern hacking!
